Fillings

A filling is used to treat a tooth where a hole has formed on the surface. At Elmwood dental we use both composite (white) and amalgam (silver) fillings.

Newer generation white fillings give a fabulous cosmetic result with very little preparation of the underlying tooth. However, in some cases, they are not suitable, and a strong silver filling may be recommended.
